Representative David Wilkerson serves the 33rd House District in the Georgia General Assembly.  His district includes portions Austell, Mableton, Powder Springs, and Smyrna in Cobb county.  David serves on the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Children & Youth, and Retirement committees. 

Representative Wilkerson was selected to attend the Georgia Legislative Leadership Institute. The purpose of GLLI is to help newer legislators develop the skills necessary to become effective leaders, informed decision makers, and astute policy analysts.

The program offers a unique opportunity for lawmakers to improve their leadership skills and explore the issues of the day with nationally renowned scholars, professional development experts, and legislative leaders and colleagues from across the region.

January 9 - Georgia General Assembly First Day of 2012 Session - Legislators return to Atlanta for the start of the annual 40 day session.

January 12 - Joint Town Hall Meeting with Representative Alisha Morgan - State Representatives Wilkerson and Morgan will hold a joint town hall meeting to discuss the upcoming legislative session. South Cobb Community Center, 620 Lions Club Drive, Mableton. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

January 19 - Cobb Legislative Forum - Representative Wilkerson will join a panel discussion on local and state issues. The annual forum is hosted by the League of Women Voters of Marietta-Cobb, the American Association of University Women - Cobb County Branch, and the Rho Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The question and answer session will be broadcast on TV 23. Cobb Commission Chambers, 100 Cherokee Street, Marietta. 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
